The route to a happier you

Foresight and innovation specialist Eleanor Winton tells us how to focus on what matters in a time of uncertainty

With the World Uncertainty Index (yes, there is such a thing) currently around three times higher than it was in 1990, planning for the future has never been more fraught. While many of us spend our time making lists and chasing our tails, foresight and innovation specialist and ESU member Eleanor Winton recommends stepping back for a moment and trying to envisage a goal that will actually make us feel good. ‘If you can be clear that the things that you do day-to-day are in service of something that’s important to you, that will make you feel much more in control,’ she says.
