ESU London branch are delighted to invite you to a debate at the ESU’ s headquarters Dartmouth House, Mayfair on Monday, 5 September.
The motion for this debate is: ‘This house believes that sanctioning private individuals in order to pressure foreign states is not only legally questionable, it is also ineffective’.
We are pleased to confirm that Bill Browder, British-American financier, political activist and leading lobbyist of the Magnitsky Act, is speaking for the opposition as our headline speaker.
Doors will be open from 6pm and the debate will begin at 6.30pm sharp.
Following the debate Dartmouth House’s bar will remain open until 9pm to allow attendees to mix and share ideas.
