About us
Welcome to the Hertfordshire Branch of the English-Speaking Union!
We cover a wide area, including Bishop’s Stortford, Tring, Rickmansworth and Enfield and are well placed to make good use of the facilities on offer at Dartmouth House, the Headquarters of the ESU.
We are very active in organising local heats and regional finals for the UK Public Speaking Competition and are always keen to involve any members who would like to help with this or any of the other ESU programmes we support.
As well as local activities, we have developed many international links over the years, having hosted students from as far afield as Russia, Moldova, Armenia and Cyprus.
So, if you are passionate about helping to equip the young with the life skills and confidence they so need in today’s world, please do get in touch. You will be making a real difference to your local community as well joining a worldwide organisation dedicated to improving the life chances of young people everywhere.
