West Sussex Branch: Plymouth trip report

A group of us did a 4 day trip to Plymouth and met up with our former chairman, Roger Tilbury and his wife Christine.  As an ex headmaster of Dartington he kindly gave us a tour and we were delighted to catch up with him again. Photo included.

We had two excellent days out as well, one to The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the other to the NT property Cotehele.  The latter is highly recommended not just for the house with it’s amazing tapestries (no electricity in the house!) but for it’s collection of apple trees for eating, cooking and cider making and extensive gardens on the banks of the Tamar river.
