An admirable performance

The team from Brentwood School performed admirably at Churchill College, Cambridge, on 8 May 2022 in their semi-final of the national ESU-Churchill Public Speaking Competition for years 9-11. Jonathan delivered an engaging speech on human cloning with great poise and was highly capable in handling a range of questions on the topic. Charlotte was a confident and charming chair, who demonstrated both control and sensitivity, and Priya duly played her part in the unenviable role of questioner by asking highly pertinent questions of her allotted speaker. Sadly, Brentwood did not progress to the final but it must have been a very close call given the strong performance of the team.
