Chichester & West Sussex

Welcome to the West Sussex branch

The ESU West Sussex Branch has a membership of around 120, 10% of whom are under 23. Its educational aims, in accordance with those of the ESU, see it involved in primary education, awarding pupils who have shown the greatest improvement in English, and in secondary schools, promoting and arranging the branch heats of the UK Public Speaking Competition and Performing Shakespeare. For those young people who have left school, do not go to university or do not have the confidence to communicate in the marketplace, we offer channeled assistance.

Our contribution to the funding of these aims comes from the promotion of talks and events among an active, sociable and friendly group.

And lastly, there is the walking group which meets monthly between spring and autumn, walking, and lunching, at charming Sussex pubs.

We extend to you all a warm welcome.
